How we started and what we are about
Brandon King / 2008
The Community Coalition for Christ (CCC) was started 2008 as primarily a Thanksgiving and Christmas ministry to provide for families and Children in need. Families were identified by teachers and counselors within the Stanly County School system and then the CCC would help. We provide a Thanksgiving meal and full Christmas (clothes, shoes, coats, toys and Bible) to every child. As this grew the CCC became a year round ministry of churches that help families in need. Many are referred from the schools and churches within Stanly County. Today we take Christmas and Thanksgiving to an average of 400+ children annually and help with food, some bills, household needs, school supplies, and children clothing. Most of all we build relationships that allow us to share the Word and Love of Jesus Christ with people. Our partnership is comprised of churches within the area that desire to work together to be Gods hands and feet. Each church that is a CCC partner provides volunteers, financial support, and serves a church that the CCC can refer people too for worship. We try to connect every family and child with a church in the area. We are a non denominational organization but believe that Jesus Christ paid the price for each of our sins on the cross. That the only requirement to salvation is to believe in him, repent, ask for his forgiveness and love him with all your heart soul and mind.
